Supported by MSERA and MSERF
Research in Progress, a new inititative of the Mid-South Educational Research Association, serves as a graduate student research forum, held during the MSERA annual meeting, and offers an opportunity for students to present research projects at virtually any stage of development. These presentations take place in a supportive environment where constructive suggestions and ideas for the continuation and completion of the project are discussed. Last year's conference hosted two sessions of Research in Progress, both of which were well attended. Faculty members are encouraged to suggest this avenue of research presentation to students participating in on-going research or research near completion.
The Mid-South Educational Research Foundation (MSERF) provides partial funding for students who have applied to and been accepted for presentations for the Research in Progress sessions, and who are subsequently selected by the Foundation to receive this support. The Foundation uses contributions to support this as well as other activities of MSERA. The Foundation itself is a non-profit organization designed to support and promote the activities of MSERA. MSERA members are encouraged to support MSERF with their tax-deductible donations.
